02-13-11
2 miles
To much to do today. Finish transcribing Byron Mason’s interview. Filling in some back pages in my writing. Days I didn’t finish covering (or writing at all)
Walked Mischa, explored some the Bottomless lakes. My impression of them hasn’t improved much.
Devil’s Inkwell, one of the lakes stocked with fish, had about seven people fishing there. Refuse of plastic bottles and the like floated on the surface. Another lake had some residue floating on the surface, whether of biologic or artificial origin it looks bad like the polluted pond in Dances With Wolves.
\I’ll do a fire tonight and maybe cook some rice w/Veggies and either tuna or chicken.
I need to get ice and bullion cubes tomorrow.
And the laptop!
I’m wearing shorts and sandals right now. It’s 2:22pm.
We’ll see if it gets above freezing tonight.
And if tomorrow is the game changer I hope it will be…stay tuned!
Called some friends.
John Dunham - he knows the Dell netbook and has offered to set me up on Skype and other apps that will help with what I’m doing or trying to do.
Reached an old college housemate, Rick Warren who is going to Scotland with his wife Elizabeth in March. I’d thought it was sooner. He was down visiting his Father in Eugene, Or.
Tried to call Margo Beh, Jim Wilson and Laura Converse, but no luck, only Answering machines.
I’m not so good with those so I don’t leave messages unless it’s of some urgency.
Passing on the fire till tomorrow night. Maybe something to be festive about - stay up late for!
